Job Description
American Data Company is seeking three full time Email Campaign Specialists to support its clients in the process of code email campaigns and related landing pages. This role involves coding HTML emails, building template-based emails, and using ExactTarget's proprietary scripting language, automation, and database tools to ensure that customers’ emails are dynamic, efficiently-coded, and render correctly across a wide variety of email clients. In addition, the Email Campaign Specialist is responsible for conducting preliminary testing for functional and rendering quality, and preparing program assets for deployment by either the customer or the Email Campaign Specialist.
This position is based out of our Salt Lake City, Utah office. Candidates must reside in the area.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with the customer to understand key campaign parameters and inputs, such as subscriber audience, program frequency, degree of personalization and overall creative approach.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide best practice recommendations to the customer.
- Instill confidence through maturity, expertise and impeccable communications (both written and oral) with clients.
- Upon receipt of customer approved final creative assets:
- Prepare Photoshop files as required, slicing/resizing images
- Manage customer assets
- Build emails using ExactTarget templates
- Create HTML paste emails using HTML and inline CSS
- Leverage the ExactTarget tools and scripting language to deliver highly dynamic and personalized content
- Manage subscriber data, import and segmentation using a combination of ExactTarget tools and database queries.
- Author campaign-specific quality assurance test programs to validate functional and rendering performance.
- Manage the customer approval and revision process through the deployment of test sends.
- Schedule deployment in the ExactTarget application and provide scheduling completion communication to client.
- Monitor the campaign post-deployment to validate completion.
- Facilitate the process documentation and transition the program to the client or a Deployment Consultant for ongoing or re-occurring campaigns.
Position Requirements
- Experience hand-coding HTML and CSS
- Software expertise: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and customer schedules with minimal oversight
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to effectively communicate and gather technical requirements
- Impeccable eye for detail
- Strong organizational skills
- 4-year college degree preferred
- ExactTarget application experience is a plus
- Knowledge of best practices in email coding are a plus
- Experience with SQL and relational databases is a plus
- Experience with JavaScript is a plus
Hours Per Week
It is anticipated that the Technical Producer work approximately 40-50 hours per week with some increases in workload as necessary to accommodate project timelines.
Location
Our offices are headquartered in Santa Monica, CA with an office in Salt Lake City, UT. The majority of your time will be spent working out of our Salt Lake City office and making on-site visits in the local area, with occasional travel to visit clients or attend industry events.
Travel may be required for short periods of time (up to 25%).
Compensation
Compensation plan includes a competitive salary ranging between $25-35K commensurate with experience.
